There is no need to hide our scars. With our many scars, come deep cleansing and healing. But then, if we must be healed and or need healing, we must first learn not to criticize or judge ourselves to death. We must learn to be patient. Yes, we must be patient, patient with ourselves especially.
It would also be nice to be kinder to ourselves too. There shouldn’t be any form of pressure whatsoever because we are all doing just fine in our various path and or journey in life. We should stop overthinking like we aren’t doing or giving in our best, we shouldn’t in any way be in a hurry, we should just learn to take it one day and one step at a time with ourselves. We should learn to love ourselves with every changes that comes.
Truth is, as much as we would love to and should take good care of our body which is also our temple, there are some changes that would keep occuring every now and then, that we ourselves can’t change. We might put in much effort to nourish our body, but still there are things we can’t change or fix even if we have the whole money in the world. Ni wonder it is written that, “…but though the outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.” You see? It is more about the inward man, and not the outward man.
You know what? We shouldn’t fear or worry too much about the changes our physical body experiences and keep experiencing, instead, all we’ve got to do is to learn to deal and or live with whatever changes our body encounter as we get older with gratitude. Always remember, “we are not our body.” We are so much more than our physical body. However, let’s keep treating our body with love, care and respect. Let’s keep pampering ourselves and be kinder to ourselves so that it would be easier to confidently extend these same attributes to others as well.
